Pandemics make various life orders change, including in the field of education. The government is creating a new policy on online learning systems to break and prevent the chain of the spread of Covid-19 in schools. Of course, this policy makes the school have to adapt to provide online learning access facilities.
Unfortunately, some schools have limitations in facilities and infrastructure that support learning activities, especially schools that are far from the city center. Not to mention the problem of the lack of human resources (HR) capabilities that are able to manage online learning system devices in schools.
Seeing this, Kompas Gramedia through Grid Network initiated social contribution activities as a form of Corporate Social Responsibility in the form of educational assistance to help schools that have difficulty accessing online learning, one of them is in SDN Jagabaya 04, Parung Panjang District, Bogor Regency.

On Thursday, October 14, 2021, Kompas Gramedia through Grid Network visited SDN Jagabaya 04 to provide assistance in the form of 4 units of computer devices to support the course of online learning in this school. Of course, the intention was welcomed by the school with 161 students and 7 educators. "The protracted pandemic conditions make us have to learn online. Meanwhile, here is still lacking the capacity of tools and networks. Moreover, there is now an ANBK or Computer-Based National Assessment obligation. For that, we are grateful to Kompas Gramedia for helping our school in providing this important thing," said Muslih, Spd., Principal of SDN Jagabaya 04.
Not until there, the Information Technology Team from Grid Network Kompas Gramedia immediately installed a computer device in one of the school rooms that was transformed into a computer laboratory. Installation is done until all devices can be used optimally by children later. Please note, this computer room is usually used for an ANBK simulation of 5th-grade students, which alternates per seven students, every hour.
Previously, children did not directly learn to use computers but instead looked through teacher-operated projector screens. "I had a chat with the kids, they all had applause. They are happy that they will be able to learn computers. Sad and sad to see it too. They have hope to advance, and we also want to advance gradually to provide facilities," Muslih said.

Not only supports online learning, but Kompas Gramedia through Grid Network also provides 215 reading book packages. "In addition to computers that are expected to help children learn online, we also provide magazines and books. There are Bobo magazine and Mombi magazine that can be given to attract the interest in reading and learning elementary children here," said Petrus Teguh Wiarso, GA-IT-Procurement Manager grid network. One interesting story, one of the students at SDN 04 Jagabaya once created a flood detection tool by reading a book from Kompas Gramedia.
"Our students have created tools and media for learning. One of them created by the child of SDN Jagabaya 04 is a flood detection device. It is from reading the book that they have experience. Moreover, it is supported by good technology. Hopefully, the help or contribution from Kompas Gramedia becomes a means that improve the quality and quality of the nation's children, especially in SDN 04 Jagabaya," concluded Supriatna, Supervisor, and Trustee of Jagabaya and Gorowong Group on the same occasion.
