Still, in the period of welcoming Kompas.com 25th anniversary, the good news came from Visual Interactive Compass (VIK). Virion's content series, which reviews Covid-19, was awarded the AAAS-Kavli Science Journalism Awards 2020 by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and the Kavli Foundation, the first time for Indonesia.

Virion's content series was born as a form Kompas.com concerns about the lack of interest in reading information about Covid-19 which can affect the reduced awareness of Covid-19 transmission. Therefore, in order to be easy for everyone to understand and customize the reader's tastes, Virion was created by combining journalism content and webtoon creative formats.
