The construction of the Polytechnic Multimedia Nusantara building in the area of Paramount Gading Serpong has entered the topping off on Monday, July 6, 2020. Topping off the ceremony by Multimedia Nusantara Foundation, Polytechnic Multimedia Nusantara, PT Media Nusantara Utama, Total, and PT Paramount Enterprise International.
"Multimedia Nusantara Foundation established Politeknik Multimedia Nusantara (PMN) to contribute to producing competent graduates that are needed by the Indonesian state, which eventually become a contribution to the advancement of the Indonesian nation and also improve the welfare of the people. PMN's presence, we are about as a friend in the change, the transformation of education for Indonesia advanced, "said the chairman of Yayasan Multimedia Nusantara (YMN) Teddy Surianto in the inauguration ceremony. Teddy added that the quality of human resources that have competence according to the needs of the industrial world become key to the competitiveness of the industry and economic growth of Indonesia. PMN has three courses, such as Digital Animation, Digital Logistic Management, and Digital Event Management (MICE), which focuses on the utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as Digital Transformation which is now accelerated to be the main need in almost all areas of the industry to respond to the global economic recession in this pandemic era.
The Project Manager of Multimedia Polytechnic Nusantara Roy Anthonius reveals all three of Applied bachelor's (D4) courses are designed with strategic partners who have a good reputation in the industry world such as Dyandra, ICE-Indonesia, KGExpress, UMN Pictures, Brown Bag Films, Ironbird Logistic, Hotel Santika, and Agate, to create link and match between industry learning curriculum.
"We are optimistic to support the link and match policies held by the Directorate of Vocational Education Ministry of Education and Culture through an innovative curriculum design that can provide the learning experience and the simultaneous work we call Immersive Learning Working Experience," said Roy.
Facilities and infrastructure have been prepared
Located within one Management Foundation, Yayasan Multimedia Nusantara, PMN will synergize with the University of Multimedia Nusantara (UMN) which has modern laboratory facilities and technology-based learning model. "One of them is Blended Learning which is a combination of online learning models and face-to-face, as well as virtual laboratory and augmented reality facilities for simulation of work practices," said Vice-Rector II of the University of Multimedia Nusantara Andrey Andoko.
In the PMN campus that will operate from 2021 this year, students will enjoy the Agile Learning and Working concept which is now a popular working system for generation Z, especially in a global technology-based company. His graduates will not only have a degree of formal education but also professional competency certification of related fields.
