HUMANITARIAN FUND KOMPAS DISTRIBUTES AID HANDLING COVID-19

The Foundation's humanitarian fund Kompas re-channeled aid from KOMPAS daily readers for the handling of COVID-19. Assistance in the form of personal protective equipment for the medical personnel handed over the Chairman of the Humanitarian fund Kompas RUSDI Amral Foundation to the installation head of hospital health Promotion of Infectious diseases (RSPI) Sulianti Saroso, Tiur Sani, in Jakarta, Wednesday, 8 April 2020. Aid personal protective equipment especially personal protective clothing, face and head protectors, gloves, safety goggles, shoe protectors, and masks. DKK also provides 300 nutritious food boxes for medical personnel in the hospital.

In addition to the RSPI Sulianti Saroso, the assistance gathered through the DKK wallet for the handling of COVID-19 was also channeled to 37 COVID-19 referral hospital and other primary health services that spread in Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang, and Bekasi, as well as other cities such as Medan, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Kediri, Jember, Jayapura, and Timika. A total of 3,500 personal protective clothing sets have been distributed to many hospitals managed by central and local governments, as well as many private hospitals outside Jakarta.

DKK also distributes more than 30,000 sheets of cloth masks to the general public. A total of 7,000 sheets of cloth masks were distributed for public transport users and the remainder were distributed to vulnerable communities, such as seniors, informal workers, and students.

DKK in collaboration with the University of Indonesia Alumni Association (Iluni UI) in channeling assistance in the form of 20,000 hand sanitizer cleaning and masks. DKK also provides 10 handwashing places (movable hand washer) in places of public service in Jakarta.

Total assistance for people who have channeled DKK during the response period COVID-19 reached Rp 1.6 billion. The aid of nutritious food intake is also distributed to thousands of informal workers. In cooperation with other social institutions, DKK provides a budget of Rp 1 billion for the distribution of 4,000 basic needs packages as well as ready meals for affected residents, including overseas students.
