#GoEnglish: DEVELOPING WORKS THROUGH LANGUAGE

Gramedia Academy collaborated with Gojek to initiate the GoEnglish program, the English language training for the children of driver-partner Gojek. Since its inception in November 2019, it has opened 70 GoEnglish classes in 16 cities spread across 6 provinces, namely West Java, DKI Jakarta, Central Java, Banten, South Sumatera, and Riau Islands.

The GoEnglish Program is held on the basis of the spirit of work to serve not only Gojek users but also driver-partners and their families. English is important to be introduced to children from an early age. With the spirit of #PastiAdaJalan, hopefully, the children of driver partners would become a positive social impact carrier for the community.

A total of 38 English teachers of Gramedia Academy from various regions were deployed to teach the children of 1,169 driver-partner Gojek. These teachers have gone through several stages of selection to be able to teach in the GoEnglish class. The teacher's minimum TOEFL standard is 500 points. After passing the file selection, prospective teachers follow the selection of interviews and microteaching. Gramedia Academy teams Create class simulations and see how prospective teachers treat their classes.

This range of selections aims to filter prospective teachers to make the GoEnglish teachers truly qualified teachers to meet maximum student quality standards. Gramedia Academy's vision is to provide training with materials that are carefully arranged and specific using a user to user training model and focus on best practices.
