Kompas.com was selected as a trusted Online Media or trusted online media, announced on the occasion of Superbrands Gala Awards 2019 at Sheraton Gandaria, Jakarta, Friday 31 July ago.

In 2018, the Press Council recorded no more than 200 media categorized as verified from at least 43,000 online media in Indonesia. For recognition and appreciation of Superbrands 2019 for Kompas.com, editor-in-chief Kompas.com Wisnu Nugroho thanked the readers in particular. "This recognition and appreciation is the top-up of Kompas.comjournalistic efforts over the past 23 years to become a trusted referral medium for readers," said Vishnu.

For Kompas.com which was established since 14 September 1995 the award as a trusted online media was the second award after 2018 was awarded the same award. In the past year as a trusted online media Kompas.com was instrumental in the international Network of Fact testers or the International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) to fight hoax and reveal the truth with journalistic works. Dozens of media and institutions around the world exist in a joint effort to combat Hoaks and connect in IFCN since 2017.

Proof of achievement

Related to this award of CEO Superbrands Indonesia Grandtyana Mayasari said, the awards that the brand owners earn is proof of achievement. "The Brand that got the Superbrands Awards 2019 has become the Top of Mind of consumers through the innovations made so far," said Grandtyana.

Superbrands Indonesia 2019 Gala Awards were attended by around 40 leading brands in Indonesia who gained status and awards based on Nielsen's survey board assessments with 38 award categories.
