Gramedia works with the National Library of INDONESIA to meet, interact, discuss and share between authors and readers, Gramedia Writers and Readers Forum (GWRF) 2019, 2 – 4 August ago at the National Library building Republic of Indonesia, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, No. 11, Central Jakarta.
In the second year, GWRF carries the theme "Literacy in Diversity" as a symbol of diversity in the world of literacy. As with the diversity in Indonesia literacy is also contained in many things. The age range, region, and background are able to give different inspirations in the world of literacy. A total of 45 book authors and professional speakers share real experiences and practices in a variety of themes, such as Fiersa Besari, Ayu & Ditto, Aan Mansyur, Sapardi Djoko Damono, Rintik Sedu, A. Fuadi, Budiman Sudjatmiko, Maman Suherman, Naela Ali, Ayu Utami, and others. Talkshow and workshop bring a variety of light to serious themes, typical of millennials, culture and literature, lighters creativity to spirituality. In Editor's Clinic participants consult directly with editors from major publishers in Indonesia. Hundreds of manuscripts received the editors for two days of maintenance. Visitors also enjoy music, Book Bazaar, and Hawker areas located in the National Library Plaza at a special price.
The other special thing from GWRF 2019 is the submission of the prize to the winner of the short film competition, Gramedia Short Film Festival (GSFF) 2019, whose inspiration has been sourced in the poetry book by Sapardi Djoko Damono, Maman Suherman, and Rachel Amanda and Keshia Deisra and followed by 600 more teams from all over Indonesia.
