For the 11th time, the OTOMOTIF Tabloid hosted the Otomotif Awards on Wednesday, March 28th, at the Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta.
The Otomotif Award recognizes brand holder agents in Indonesia, both for motorcycles and cars. With the theme “The Right Choice”, the Otomotif Awards presented the best motorcycles and cars of the year as the right choices for Indonesians who wish to buy new vehicles.
The winners were cars and motorcycles that have been tested by the editorial team of the Otomotif Tabloid between May 2017 and March. The testing was undertaken using a special method and assessment criteria, such as design, feature, performance, handling, fuel consumption, price and novelty.
The 2018 Otomotif Awards ceremony had 70 categories, consisting of 31 categories for cars, 31 categories for motorcycles and the main category of Car of the Year 2018, won by the Mitsubishi Expander, and Bike of the Year 2018 won by the new Honda PCX 150.
There were also 8 awards in the “Special Award” category given to industries, communities and automotive players from the public, business community and motorsport.
It is envisioned that the awards presented by the largest and most trusted automotive print media outlet since 1991 can assist and inform vehicle buyers in the country. “We hope that these accolades can be a guide to those who plan to buy a vehicle by choosing the best car or motorcycle identified by Otomotif Tabloid,” explained Panji Maulana, editor-in-chief of Otomotif Tabloid.
