AWARD FOR KG PRINT MEDIA

KG’s print media received awards in various categories during the National Press Day celebration held at the Hotel Mercure Padang Ballroom, West Sumatra on Wednesday, Feb. 7.

 KOMPAS newspaper received three awards, two golds in the category of the best national newspaper front page, the Indonesia Print Media Award (IPMA) for the Sept. 4, 2017 issue and Oct. 27, 2017 issue, and one bronze for the MuDa page in the category of Indonesia young readers award (IYRA), for the Nov. 24, 2017 issue.

            Meanwhile, the National Geographic Indonesia magazine won gold in the best special interest license magazine for the cover of its February 2017 edition. The monthly magazine, the pioneer of a series of Kompas Gramedia’s mass media outlets, Intisari, won silver in the best special interest magazine category for the cover of its July 2017 edition. KONTAN tabloid won gold in the best news, politics and business tabloid category and silver in the best national newspaper category. The Tribun Timur newspaper, turning 14 years old on the same day as National Press Day on Feb. 9, received two awards in the IPMA and IYRA categories.

            Other KG publications, such as BOLA, SAJI and regional newspapers from the group of regional newspapers, also won awards in their categories. The complete list of awards from the 2018 National Press Day can be downloaded from the website.

            The IPMA is a yearly cover competition for national print media (magazines, tabloids and daily newspapers) held since 2010, while IYRA is a youth column design competition for daily newspapers that started in 2014. The Press Union Awards Night is part of a series of events to commemorate 2018 National Press Day. (Nana)
