The Soft Opening was held on Saturday, 24 June 2023 starting at 10:00 WITA at Jalan Teuku Umar No. 19A, Denpasar, Bali.

Gramedia Bali Teuku Umar provides 4,500 excellent book titles. Apart from that, there is also a selection of Stationery, IT Products, Sport n Music, Perfect Health massage chairs, and mobile accessories on the first floor area. The second floor area is filled with Toys n Fancy, Art supplies, lifestyle, international books corner, children's books and comics. While the third floor area has various kinds of novels, self-improvement, religion, schoolbooks, business, law, social, and science. With a total area of 1,040 square meters, visitors can enjoy shopping in a more comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere.
This Soft Opening will be enlivened by a series of events, including a talk show with Emte & Raka Jana. The talk show will be , Emte & Raka Jana will talk on Saturday, June 24 2023 at 14.00 WITA about interesting things about the process of making illustrations into a book and also how to illustrate books that have been written beforehand.
Then on Sunday, June 25 2023, there will also be a make-up workshop at 14.00 WITA with Dr. dr. A. A. Ayu Ketut Agung, M. M. or commonly known as Bu Agung. Bu Agung is one of the writers for the GPU publishing house who specializes in make-up. Bu Agung will present a talk show about modifications to Balinese bridal make-up.
In addition, to increase visitor enthusiasm, Gramedia held a Gramedia voucher giveaway on the first day of opening (24/6). The Gramedia voucher giveaway mechanism is divided into several tiers, namely 100 thousand vouchers for the first 10 people, 50 thousand vouchers for the next 40 people, and 25 thousand vouchers for the last 150 people. Vouchers are limited to the first 200 people only.
During the soft opening, there were also various Gramedia sales programs in order to welcome the Back to School moment, namely study package promos starting from Rp. 345,000, textbook discounts of up to 15%, and computer accessories discounts of up to 40%.
There is also a MyValue promo, which is a 10% discount for children's books and school books published by Gramedia specifically for Child Identity Card (KIA) holders, as well as a 15% discount for new MyValue users.
Not only that, there is also a Bank Sales Promo program specifically for CIMB Niaga users, namely a 10% discount for books published by Gramedia every Monday to Thursday (June 23 - December 31 2023). Whereas for BCA users, there is a 15% discount for books published by Gramedia every Friday and Saturday, as well as a 20% discount for books published by Gramedia every Wednesday (June 23 - December 31, 2023).
