Halodoc's Visit to Kompas Gramedia

Kompas Gramedia received a visit from Halodoc on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Borobudur Room, 6th Floor of Kompas Tower. In the midst of a world faced with the Covid-19 pandemic, Halodoc has become one of the pioneers of health teleconsultation in the country by providing convenience for various lines of health services summarized in just one application.

Attending the visit were Halodoc Co-Founder & CEO Jonathan Sudharta, Halodoc COO Veronica Utami, Halodoc Director of Risk Management &; Compliance Doddy Darmawan, and VP of Government Relations &; Corporate Affairs Adeline Hindarto.

A warm welcome was given to Halodoc by representatives of Kompas Gramedia, including Editor-in-Chief of KompasTV Rosianna Silalahi, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of KompasTV Yogi Arief Nugraha, Head of Network KompasTV Bimo Cahyo, News Manager of Tribun Network Sanusi, KG Radio Network Director Markus Gunawan, Managing Director of Grid Network Dhanang Cahyo, Editor in Chief Nakita and Bobo.id David Togatorop, Corporate Communication Director KG Glory Oyong, GM Communication Management, and Bentara Budaya Ilham Khoiri, and GM People Operation Corporate HR Untung Herminanto.

Editor-in-Chief of KompasTV Rosianna Silalahi opened the meeting and conveyed the significance of Halodoc's presence in everyday life, "Halodoc can be said to be a problem solver in health services. We don't need to queue and can consult with the choice of doctor according to personal preference," he said.

Responding to the warm welcome given, Halodoc Co-Founder &; CEO Jonathan Sudharta introduced Halodoc as an effort to simplify the ins and outs of healthcare problems by integrating online and offline services to provide comprehensive protection. "Simply put, Halodoc was established to provide awareness to the Indonesian people about the importance of maintaining health. Taking the example of our sleep hours that are often disturbed due to waking up at night, many of us think this is normal. However, even something as simple as this can actually have bad implications for health from a medical point of view," he said.

The potential collaboration between Kompas Gramedia and Halodoc was discussed passionately by Halodoc COO Veronica Utami, "One of the pandemics has indeed helped us revolutionize telemedicine from something foreign to something commonplace and convenient. To maintain relevance in the midst of the pandemic end, we also provide services for mental health. Currently, Halodoc has a new service, namely Home Lab. People can now use Halodoc not only when sick, but also to maintain health, for example through blood checks. However, we are still faced with problems in the form of lack of awareness so public education is one of the important components," he added.

Responding enthusiastically to Halodoc's presentation, Grid Network Managing Director Dhanang Cahyo replied, "One of Grid has a website about health, namely Grid Health. Today, Grid Health is developing a new column to work with doctors to provide more comprehensive information. Collaboration with Halodoc can be one option to jointly realize equitable health for all people in the country," he said.

The discussion between KG Media editors and the Halodoc team was warm and led to various collaboration ideas. Halodoc currently connects millions of Indonesians with various lines of healthcare providers. However, Halodoc is faced with penetration challenges for Halodoc services due to the lack of strengthening digital literacy. These conditions are a breath of fresh air for the potential collaboration between Kompas Gramedia and Halodoc in the future. Kompas Gramedia is always open to collaboration opportunities with various parties both in terms of business and social contribution programs.
