Get to know the News Production Stage on KompasTV with ITB School of Business and Management Students

Jakarta, May 12, 2023 - Kompas Gramedia received a visit from students of the School of Business and Management of the Bandung Institute of Technology on Friday, May 12, 2023. The acceptance of this student visit is a means to introduce the corporate values of Kompas Gramedia and its business units. This activity is also an implementation of Kompas Gramedia's vision and mission to enlighten the nation by opening a study room with students.

A total of 46 students of the ITB School of Business and Management participated in this study visit, accompanied by Dr. Sri Hartati, M.Si., CETP as an accompanying lecturer. The group of students was received at Studio 1 Menara Kompas by KompasTV Executive Producer Gammara Lenggo Geni and PR Analyst Corporate Communication KG Devin Airlangga. This visit is expected to provide insight while increasing students' understanding of media and technology, as well as seeing the professional world more closely.

Devin Airlangga welcomed the students and opened the event by introducing Kompas Gramedia through a brief presentation on the development of KG business units starting from Intisari Magazine to become 8 industry pillars. He said that as a multi-industry company, Kompas Gramedia has a very big desire to play a role in advancing the quality of Indonesian human resources through various efforts to enlighten the community.

"This study visit KG is our effort to facilitate academic circles to get closer to the industrial world. Maybe you can't explore it immediately with a limited time, but at least this can be an investment in the information that you can get from our company, "said Devin.

Continuing the material presentation session, Gammara Lenggo Geni representing KompasTV shared his insights and experiences as Executive Producer of KompasTV. He explained his role as Executive Producer and how the stages of content production, from planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling.

"Currently we focus on making strategies with creative ideas that adapt to the era of globalization. In addition to the importance of strategy, of course, we must also implement provisions related to digital content and manage effectively to achieve high productivity following company goals," said Gammara.

After the presentation of the material, a question and answer session was opened to further deepen students' knowledge. Various questions were asked by students as a form of their curiosity about the behind-the-scenes production of KompasTV shows and trusted journalistic activities. The number of questions asked is proof of their enthusiasm for KompasTV in particular and Kompas Gramedia in general.

The visit was closed with a short tour of students in Studio 1 and the Control Room of KompasTV to see firsthand the media production process. Not only the knowledge provided, but Kompas Gramedia also gave attractive prizes to two selected students who had submitted interesting questions and participated in social media challenges given before the visit session arrived.

This visit is an implementation of Kompas Gramedia in its mission to contribute directly to building an increasingly advanced and leading world of education with the hope that the knowledge shared can be useful and transmitted to other fellow students.
