Airasia Super App Indonesia Visit to Kompas Gramedia

Kompas Gramedia received a visit from Airasia Super App Indonesia on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Borobudur Room, 6th Floor of Kompas Tower. Since the pandemic hit the travel and tourism business, AirAsia has adapted by differentiating its non-airline approach. AirAsia Super App Indonesia has been running since November 2022 as a travel super app that combines travel and lifestyle segments on one platform.

The meeting was attended by a number of representatives from Airasia Super App Indonesia, namely Head of Marketing airasia Super App Indonesia Boni Andika, Head of AirAsia Rewards Indonesia Arifin Prasetyo, PR and Comms Manager airasia Super App Indonesia Nathania, and PR airasia Super App Indonesia Michelle.

The visit was warmly welcomed by Kompas Gramedia as a form of enthusiasm to meet for the first time. Also attending the visit were Corporate Communications Director Glory Oyong, GM Communication Management &; Bentara Budaya Ilham Khoiri, Network Manager KompasTV Bimo Cahyo Saputro, Compartment Editor Kontan Sandy Baskoro, Editor-in-Chief Grid.id Deddy Adrian, Ast. Managing Editor of Kompas.com Ni Luh Made Pertiwi, KG Radio Network Vice Director Viliny Lesmana, Group of Media Chief Marketing Officer Dian Gemiano, Kompas Daily Sales Supervisor Andreas Aldo, and KG Media Head of PR Arrozi Effendi.

The introduction of Kompas Gramedia as well as the leadership by Kompas Gramedia Communication Manager Agatha Tristanti started this visit. Head of Marketing airasia Super App Indonesia Boni Andika returned the introduction warmly while explaining the initiative behind AirAsia Super App Indonesia's visit, "AirAsia has long been known only as an airline. However, overall Capital A has an extensive business network similar to Kompas Gramedia. AirAsia Super App Indonesia is the only travel super app ecosystem that has its own airline. The unity of Airasia Super App Indonesia ecosystem consists of flights, hotels, personalized travel packages, e-commerce retail and duty-free products, land, and sea transportation, e-hailing transportation, culinary exploration, to annual subscription packages," he said.

PR and Comms Manager airasia Super App Indonesia Nathania also said, "AirAsia Super App Indonesia is exploring the potential for collaboration in terms of branding, especially in widening people's understanding beyond Airasia's image as an airline. Collaborations that can be established, for example, in media experience to making various advertisements that will expand the reach of Airasia Super App Indonesia," he added.

Responding to the presentation of Airasia Super App Indonesia between Kompas Gramedia and AirAsia Super App Indonesia, KG Radio Network Vice Director Viliny Lesmana welcomed, "There is great potential for collaboration. One of them, the thing that is still missed in this super app is entertainment services. Sonora, for example, can provide radio services from anywhere with many options. This entertainment can also be packaged in the form of quiz programs, guess the song, to one of our programs, namely Pesona Indonesia, which covers tourism wisdom and local culinary from Sabang to Merauke."

Collaboration opportunities were also open from KompasTV Network Manager Bimo Cahyo Saputro, "KompasTV has various interesting programs, such as sightseeing or Food Story. The collaboration between Kompas Gramedia and Airasia Super App Indonesia can be packaged attractively by producing content that utilizes the convenience of Airasia Super App services," he added.

This visit is the first step in exploring the collaboration between Kompas Gramedia and Airasia Super App Indonesia in an effort to help travelers enjoy an easy, practical, and economical travel experience. Kompas Gramedia is always open to collaboration opportunities with various parties both in terms of business and social contribution programs.
