MYKG.id, JAKARTA - Radio Sonora successfully won the Covid-19 Handling Award in the Radio Media Category at the Community Activity Restriction Enforcement (PPKM) Award event at Dhanapala Building, Ministry of Finance, Jakarta on Monday (20/03). The award was handed over directly by President Joko Widodo as a form of Government appreciation to all parties including Media and Influencers, who are considered to have worked hard and served the community in making positive contributions during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The President considered that all efforts and hard work that had been deployed were a form of community service. When delivering his congratulations, the President invited all components of the nation to continue the success of handling Covid-19 to various humanitarian and national problems.

"To you who received the PPKM Award, I congratulate you. Let us continue this dedication to solve various humanitarian and national problems, and build Indonesia into a developed country, "said the President.

The President also said that all components of the nation have worked hard beyond their duties and functions in dealing with Covid-19. The President emphasized that synergy between governments and public participation is also important to face various problems.

"We must continue to move synergistically to mobilize the strength of all components of the nation, synergy from the central government to the village level, synergy across ministries, synergy across institutions, synergy across sectors, and synergy between state institutions, government, DPR, BPK, and other institutions, as well as synergy between government and community participation," said the President.

Radio Sonora's Role in the Covid-19 Pandemic

When the news reached the Sonora All Crew WhatsApp group on Monday (20/03) night, a number of group members immediately congratulated him, while being proud of the award that had been won.

Vice Director of KG Radio Network Viliny Lesmana in an interview on Tuesday (21/03) said, grateful for the achievements that have been achieved because it is a tangible manifestation that Radio Sonora is indeed present in the midst of the community to fight with the community, especially the citizens of Jakarta.

He said, there were a number of assessments to winning awards at the event, but Radio Sonora has already been known as Radio that actively provides positive support for the community, one of which is through the Sonora Peduli assistance program.

In addition, he also said that the existence of news programs about covid-19 that continue to be aired and continue to be uploaded as content on various social media Sonora also gave a positive assessment of the role of the media during the pandemic.

PPKM Award 2023

The PPKM Award 2023 was held as a result of collaboration from the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment, the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Indonesian Covid-19 Handling Task Force.

The awards given by the government to the number of parties are divided into several categories, namely Vaccination Centers, Telemedicine, WGS Laboratories, Media, Influencers, Religious Organizations, Academics, Friendly Countries, SOEs, International Organizations, Foreign Private Institutions, Domestic Private Institutions, and NGOs.

The prestigious PPKM Award 2023 event was also attended by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung, Chief of Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono.
