The visit to SMA Tarakanita 1 begins with giving a tour session at Menara Kompas, the group is welcome to see how the activities are in Studio 1. After the students were considered familiar enough with Kompas Gramedia, and the Growth Center visit continued with a question and answer session. The questions asked included how students wanted to know more about Kompas Gramedia and how to see self-development during a predetermined time.
This visit was opened with a brief history of the birth of Kompas Gramedia to the presentation of the development of business units owned by Kompas Gramedia from year to year to students delivered by Corporate Communication KG Devin Airlangga. In the session, Devin Airlangga said that Kompas Gramedia has developed into a multi-industry company that moves with 8 main pillars and conveyed the analogy of trees as the growth of the scope of the Kompas Gramedia industry.
"In the beginning, Kompas Gramedia was founded with a pioneer belief, namely the trees we plant to bear fruit, bloom, and develop so that it becomes a blessing that benefits as many people as possible. That is what makes us, Kompas Gramedia has a goal to continue to grow and provide the best service to the community. The development of Kompas Gramedia can also be seen from the many pillars we have now," said Devin.
After the introduction of Kompas Gramedia, Janet and Patricia representing the Growth Center also invited students to get to know themselves well through several presentations on how one can grow and develop within the scope of Kompas Gramedia. In this session, Tarakanita 1 High School students were also given the opportunity to do a personality test simultaneously. Janet and Patricia also added that one can grow and develop according to the persistence of each individual.
"By doing 'Seven Test Measurement' on the growth inventory provided by the Growth Center, you can find out what talents and habits exist in you. When doing this test and getting the results, there may be some talents and habits that you just know or realize after undergoing the test. The pattern of traits that exist will determine how an individual responds to situations that require mental agility of all friends, "said Janet.
In the next session, Tarakanita 1 High School students also received a lot of insight from PR Manager Group of Retail and Publishing Rezza Patria Wibowo about podcasts that are usually done by Gramedia. Students also said that they were used to podcast activities which made this session very full of question-and-answer activities. In addition to discussing podcasts, Rezza also said that the event held by Gramedia must be in accordance with its vision and mission, so as to make the message of the vision and mission conveyed properly.
"Gramedia itself has an ecosystem where there are various pillars managed to develop potential content and produce diverse products so that they can be enjoyed by many people. One example of an existing product is a podcast. In developing your own podcast, of course, you must have the appropriate concept. Starting from the table of contents, synopsis, ads placement, growth insights, podcasters, and speakers. By focusing on developing existing content, it can help to become Gramedia's main revenue contributor in the future," said Rezza.
The visiting session went smoothly thanks to the high enthusiasm of the students through a series of questions submitted. Kompas Gramedia reciprocally responds to questions and further enriches students' knowledge about the scope of work at Kompas Gramedia. This visit is an implementation of Kompas Gramedia in its mission to contribute directly to building an increasingly advanced and leading world of education with the hope that the knowledge shared can be useful and transmitted to other students. This is in line with Kompas Gramedia's vision to enlighten the community, one of which is by supporting Indonesian education as the spearhead of the nation's next generation.
