Kraft Heinz ABC Indonesia's Visit to Kompas Gramedia

Culinary has long been an Indonesian recipe for connecting people, uniting cultures, and enriching daily life. Kraft Heinz ABC Indonesia is one of the pioneers of the food industry in Indonesia. Kompas Gramedia received a visit from Kraft Heinz ABC Indonesia on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Borobudur Room, 6th Floor of Kompas Tower.

The delegation from Kraft Heinz ABC Indonesia was led by Kraft Heinz Indonesia & Papua New Guinea Sr. Manager Corporate Affairs Andrew Hallatu. Also present were the Head of Research & Development Kraft Heinz Indonesia Indra Ishak, Head of Food Service Kraft Heinz Indonesia Joanna Sudharta, Head of Core Asian Taste Winanda Setiawan, Marketing Manager of Easy Meals Diana Riaya Kusumaningrum, Associate Manager of Corporate Affairs Indonesia Egi Pendi Putra, Head of Media & E-commerce Mia Fawzia, Image Dynamics Nurrizati, and Image Dynamics Angelina Vira. 

A warm welcome was given to Kraft Heinz ABC Indonesia from representatives of Kompas Gramedia, including Corporate Communication Director KG Glory Oyong, GM Communication Management, and Bentara Budaya Ilham Khoiri, Ast. Managing Editor of Kompas.com Ni Luh Made Pertiwi, Editor of Food Kompas.com Silvita Agmasari, Editor of Tribunnews Yovan, Kompas TV Digital Laura Elvina, Editor of NOVA Dian Kardha, Editor in Chief Nakita David Togatorop, Account Executive of Kompas.com Gandhi, Lutfi Kompas.com, Paper Packaging Sales Manager of Metaform GoMan T. Irwan Rahardja, and Flexible Packaging Sales I Manager of Metaform GoMan Hendra Julfani Siregar.

KG Corporate Communication Director Glory Oyong opened the meeting by introducing Kompas Gramedia as well as introducing the snacks of the leaders who were also present. Andrew Hallatu in his speech explained the background of Kraft Heinz ABC Indonesia.

"Heinz Food's entry into Indonesia began with the acquisition of PT ABC Central Food Industry in 1999. In 2015, Heinz and Kraft Food merged globally. However, Kraft Heinz in Indonesia still maintains ABC as a legendary brand in Indonesia under the name Kraft Heinz Indonesia ABC," said Andrew Hallatu. The Kraft Heinz Indonesia ABC delegation went on to introduce brands under Kraft Heinz ABC Indonesia, including soy sauce, chili sauce, canned fish, cordials or syrup, and ready-to-drink.

Winanda Setiawan added, "Currently, Kraft Heinz ABC Indonesia is conducting various campaigns, such as "Gak Asal Ngecap" for ABC soy sauce and ABC sambal Nusantara, both of which highlight authentic Indonesian cuisine," he said. Winanda Setiawan also appreciated Kompas Gramedia which had previously collaborated with Kraft Heinz ABC Indonesia in educating the public about stunting and malnutrition.

Glory Oyong responded by saying that Kompas Gramedia will always be open to collaboration. "Kompas Gramedia has an extensive business network. The collaboration between Kompas Gramedia and Kraft Heinz Indonesia ABC Indonesia, for example, can be established in the form of media publications, packaging printing, to natural disaster victim assistance programs," he said.

The food sector is a topic that is in great demand today, plus the month of Ramadan is approaching. In addition, the pandemic that is gradually reaching its end has also encouraged national economic recovery. These conditions certainly bring fresh air to the potential collaboration between Kompas Gramedia and Kraft Heinz ABC Indonesia in the future.

This activity is a form of implementation of the vision and mission of Kompas Gramedia to collaborate with various parties in an effort to enlighten the nation. Kompas Gramedia and Kraft Heinz ABC Indonesia took advantage of this good opportunity to strengthen interagency relations and explore the potential for future cooperation to support the achievement of digital financial literacy and encourage the achievement of national financial inclusion targets and economic recovery.
